With experience in a vast range of enforcement cases, we know that the key to a positive outcome is early engagement and negotiation with the LPA. Whether it requires a retrospective planning application, a Certificate of Lawful Existing Use/Development (CLUED) or an enforcement appeal, we can help.

Unfortunately even some of the most well-considered planning applications are not granted at the first time of asking. Whilst we may be able to advise on more appropriate options to move an unsuccessful project forward, sometimes an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate is the only way forward.

local plan & neighbourhood plan promotion

Often land projects require a strategic approach to ensuring the medium-to-long term prospect of development are protected.

We are able to co-ordinate and guide landowners in promoting their sites during emerging Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plan consultations. From ‘Call for Sites’ and Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessments (‘SHLAA’s) to detailed draft Plan consultations, these representations can maximise the chances of securing a development allocation.

We have extensive experience in working with landowners, overseeing the tricky negotiations involved in securing an Option or Promotion Agreement.

Working with a housebuilder or promoter in seeking the mutual objective of securing planning consent offers the opportunity to maximise the potential of your land without the upfront financial risk of submitting an application independently.
